In electrical applications, thermoset composites provide excellent basic properties to home and street lighting markets.

Featuring a high total reflectance value, thermoset compounds are ideal for high-intensity discharge lighting fixtures, from architectural to safety applications.

The material's excellent dielectric properties is its greatest attribute for these applications.

Using SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) and BMC (Bulk Molding Compound), manufacturers are able to mold terminal blocks directly into the fixture, thus eliminating secondary operations. 

This offers a distinct advantage over tradition polished metal assemblies, that require separate terminal blocks that must be individually fabricated, and then assembled into the final part.
